VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

RESERVING ALTAR FLOWERS

To honor a special date in the life of a dearly departed loved one, why not reserve altar flowers? During mass, our priest offers prayers for all those in whose name the flowers 

are donated each week.

To reserve altar flowers, call Mary in the office at 795-6577 or email her at

(thegoodshepherd@optonline.net)  The cost of flowers is $30.00 per Sunday. Your

check can be mailed to the office or placed in the collection plate. Be sure to write

"Altar Flowers" in the memo of your check to ensure it doesn't get confused with a pledge.

PARISH OUTREACH

Our Outreach efforts are impressive.  To learn more and how get involved, simply

click on "Shelter Suppers". October's Shelter Supper will be on Sunday, October 26th,

and is being coordinated by the Boppert's. If you would like to help in this ministry, please call Peter or Barbara at 799-2760.  There is still a slot open in December. Contact 

Sandy Bremmer at 203-256-8865 to volunteer, or see the sign-up sheet in the undercroft.

MORTGAGE PAYMENT

Please consider making a tax deductible donation towards our church roof loan. There are sign up sheets in the Narthex as well as the Undercroft. The payment is $990.00 per month and is broken up into three slots of $330.00 each. If you have taken a slot and not sent in your payment, please make every attempt to send it in. We depend on the generosity of you all to keep this loan up to date and separate from our general operating expenses.

CHOIR REHEARSALS - 

Thursday Evenings at 7:00 p.m. - 

Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. between the two services.

      Please make every effort to come to our rehearsals.

      New members are always welcome, especially  tenors and basses!

SATURDAY FLEA MARKETS -  8:00 am - 2:00 p.m.

  Nov. 8. Dec.13 

Plan to attend, and if you would like a table yourself, the cost is $25.00.  

For information or to reserve vendor space at the Flea Market, call Bud Clarke at  934-4446.

Come for breakfast and/or lunch and support the men of the parish as they work to

help fund essential projects within our parish.

COFFEE HOUR

Our traditional Sunday coffee hour is alive and well!  Held in the Undercroft, this gathering of parishioners  follows the 10:00 a.m. Eucharist. It's a great opportunity 

to see old friends and greet new members of our Parish.  Please consider hosting 

this hour of fellowship. The sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board in the Undercroft.  Thanks to all who volunteered this summer.

CONFIRMATION CLASS FALL SCHEDULE

Classes for this fall are on Sundays at 4:00 p.m.  They are scheduled for 

Nov.30th and Dec 14th.  A complete 2009 schedule will be issued shortly.

YANKEE PEDDLER FAIR

The fair date is set for Saturday, November 15th. We need everybody's help to make it a success.  As always, we need hand-crafted items, baked goods, and "treasures" for the Treasure Chest. To volunteer. please call Jennifer D'Inzeo at 934-1793
